HED 908 - Healthy Self-Esteem

Healthy self-esteem is essential for mental and physical well-being.  Research on the origins of self-esteem has concluded that unconditional love is a key component of healthy self-esteem.  This course will present techniques that have been proven to help students develop the life skills they need for healthy self-esteem.  Participants will learn step-by-step techniques to help their students: a) handle mistakes and respond well to criticism, b) foster compassion for themselves and others, c) set and achieve goals that will enrich their lives, and d) learn self-acceptance techniques.

Credit: 3-semester units college credit
Fees: $460 ($375 tuition + $85 fees) - Students are required to purchase the text separately.
